Real Betis welcomes Mallorca

The 25th round of Spanish La Liga will start on Friday when Real Betis welcomes Mallorca at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. It’s time to have a look at this match in our La Liga predictions.

Real Betis are having a good squad, but it’s dissapointing that they don’t have the results they wanted in the start of the season. Right now the Andalusians are 12th in the standings with 29 points and surely they could have done better with the potential they have. The manager Rubi is still working with the team, but most likely he won’t stay for another season, if Betis don’t show something more in the remaining rounds.

Real Betis are without a win in four consecutive games in La Liga. Last week they made their 8th draw when they visited Leganes at the Butarque. They also finished the game with a red card as Borja Iglesias was sent off in the last few minutes. He will miss the match on Friday, so that’s just another problem for Rubi. Diego Lainez, Pedraza and Juanmi are currently injured.

Mallorca are in the race for survival as they are 18th right now in the league with 21 points. For them it’s still not a desperate situation, but they need to keep a good level until the end. Otherwise they would find themselves in Segunda again.

Last week Mallorca made a step in the right direction. Vicente Moreno’s team hosted Deportivo Alaves at home and won the game with a goal from Juan Hernandez in the 63th minute. This is the type of performance which could allow the club from the islands to stay in the division.

That’s our preview for the La Liga game between Real Betis and Mallorca in our La Liga predictions. Real Betis are desperate to improve in the remaining rounds, but they will have a motivated team against them. It won’t be easy.
