Tottenham Hotspur hosts Sheffield United
Tottenham Hotspur hosts Sheffield United in London in a desperate need of a win. Why is that we are going to discuss here in our English Premier League predictions for this clash. Stay with us.
This season is just not going well for Spurs and things are barely changing. It’s enough just to say that right now Tottenham are without a win in their last four matches in the Premier League and they are 10th in the league standings, being 18 points behind the leader Liverpool. You get the picture, right?
On Sunday Tottenham visited Everton at the Goodison Park with the hope of a win, but once again Spurs didn’t do it. The match ended with a 1-1 draw with Dele Alli scoring Spurs’ only goal in the match. The game is going to be remember with the way Son Heung-Min brutally injured Andre Gomes and broke his ankle.
During the week Spurs enjoyed a win, though. They met Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League group stage and celebrated a convincing 4-0 win in Belgrade. Son scored a brace for the English side, while Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Eriksen also put the ball in the net.
Sheffield United are doing impressively well so far for a newcomer. The Blades are currently 6th in the standings, being just one point behind Arsenal and the Top 5. The club’s fans probably didn’t expect that their favourite team will do so well after returning to the Premier League.
But the facts are clear – Sheffield United have lost just three matches since the start of the season. Last week they hosted Burnley at the Bramall Lane and crushed them with 3-0. John Lundstram scored a brace for the Blades, while John Fleck also put the ball in the net.
That’s our English Premier League predictions for the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United. On paper Spurs must be the favourite here, but these two teams’ performance in the league so far tells different.
